Asparagus Community Theatre is proud to announce the upcoming
play reading and auditions for “Always....Patsy Cline”. This spring show will
be directed by Laurisa DeFehr, musical direction by Aaron Anderson, and co-produced
by Lara Sheridan and Susan Gagnon.
Sunday January 14th play reading 4pm @
Centennial Theatre.
All interested parties will be able to read the script and
see what it involves. Directly
afterwards there will be a meet and greet with current crew. Anyone interested
in any of the production jobs that need filling are welcome to stay. (See
bottom)
Sunday January 21st and Monday January 22nd
auditions 7:30pm @ Centennial theatre.
Auditions are for two roles:
Female: 20-50 years of
age, Patsy Cline’s friend, mainly acting, but must be able to sing a simple song.
Female: 20-50 years of
age Patsy Cline, mainly
singing, but some acting
Please be advised for Patsy
Cline auditions, come prepared to sing a Patsy Cline song of your choice, or we will provide
a karaoke version of a few songs with words.
Synopsis of
the show is a true story of a pen pal relationship between a Houston housewife
who met Patsy Cline and struck up a friendship that lasted until Clines’
untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.
If you are interested in being a part of the show but not on
stage, the following positions still need filling. Costumes, hair and makeup, tech, (lighting
and sound), backstage help, i.e. Patsy’s dresser, front of house and props.
