In
her directorial debut Laurisa DeFehr is taking on this very entertaining
musical alongside Aaron Anderson as musical director, with co producers Lara
Sheridan and Susan Gagnon. Featuring 27 toe
tapping songs, like “Walking After Midnight”, “Back In Baby’s Arms”, “If You’ve
Got Leavin On Your Mind” and of course “Crazy”.
This
show is packed with local talent, in her debut performance with Asparagus
Community Theatre, Mary Groeneveld is Patsy Cline and veteran Jeunesse Pearson
is Louise. The Bodacious Bobcats, (the band) feature Aaron Anderson on Drums,
Todd York on base, Allen Bensmiller lead guitar, and George Bensmiller on keys
and fiddle.
Written
by Ted Swindley, the script is based on a true story of a pen pal relationship
between a Houston housewife who met Patsy Cline and struck up a friendship that
lasted until Clines’ untimely death in a plane crash in 1963.
